No Rita No !!!!

Sorry but wanted something that rhymed with Rita !!
Thanks for all the concerns by way of blog and mail !

But Rita was a no-show at Austin , There was no rain , heck no clouds and did I mention 107 Heat Index !!!!! A far cry from the doomsday predictions that the eye would be over Austin on Saturday with category 1 strength !!!!

I did go to the store to "STOCK UP" and there was NOTHING, I mean nothing !!! It was scary ! So we decided to go the next day ( ie Friday ) but thankfully we knew better by friday and didnt have to stock up !

I am sure there are a lot of people in Austin this week thinking how to utilise the extra food and water they had brought !!!

Now there are still some days to go and there is some activity in the Atlantic so we will have to keep a watch !

On the weekend I treated myself to baked Salmon !!!
Deciding to study and then slept :)
Happily accepting the awesome Sunday afternoon sleep !!

We in Austin wait to see what happens

Its kinda hard to do something out of ordinary ( like go and shop , to stock up) But will have to do it today. Previous forecasts predicted the eye directly over Austin on Saturday , looks like that may not happen !
But hurricanes are known to be unpredictable.

Fear factor

Recently I had the opportunity to eat as much Milk Maid as possible. I was reminded of my childhood when this was not possible , it was a strict no-no , access to this over sweet fluid was restricted as part of discipline. We used to fight over for the very little part left in the can after the delicay was made. So naturally I was excited.

Unfortunately after the first spoon full I couldn't take any more. There was no pressure to stop !! No fear factor !!

As children most of us had restricted access to stuff like cookies and Bournvita and such precious items . Today I can have as many cookies as I like ! We had our chances when the protectors were out or sleeping. My approach was of a professional . Make sure things look the same way as they were. The Handle of the jar must be as it was, the jars next to it must not be touched. Don't spill anything, if you do make sure you wipe it and make sure you clan the cloth that you used to wipe it. Later on after a few red-handed arrests some learnings I felt really proud of my job , It was like a commando operation !

Some good news, guys. In a new study conducted by Playgirl, 42 percent of the readers polled said they find love handles sexy. The New York Daily News asked Manhattan matchmaker Janis Spindel about the results and she confirmed the findings: "It's scary, but women don't care about looks."

Another surpise in the study: some of the readers of Playgirl are women.
