Pet_Names (0 ,0)

What are the origins of these pets names that stick with us for our lives?
Sometimes we like these crown jewels say when its Jonty or DON and sometimes we dont when its something like Leaky

And why is it called pet name ?
People are not dogs or cats or hamsters. Then why PET names ?
Going by that logic animal must have human names for their friends !

The people who coin these names are at their artistic best !

Let me give you some examples
Bhushan Gangurde is BHUGA
Nikhil Patil is Nipa
Nikhil Dixit is ND ( see the trend ?)
Achalia is Achhu
Rupesh Ghyar is Gharu
Abhay is Asgar ( cause is likes to eat and sleep, dont we all ?)
Priyank Patwa is Patwa ( this is one more style, using the last name)Dushyant Wadhivkar is Wadya ( he told us on the first day that he did not like it, so people continued to use the name)
Makrand is Maky
Pravin is Pavya
One guy was called DON , Nice you think, Except it stood for Dhekun of Nashik , Dhekun is slang for Bedbug.
Heres one that goes against logic
Anish Karandikar is Karandikar ( you think Anish , Anya , shorter is better? not always )

And lastly I am SAUTYA !!I have no idea who started it and what was the logic but thats what I am, I am SAUTYA .

I look at other Saurabhs and they are mostly saurya's , I am not.

The great thing about pet names is the tone conveys so much .

I can be SAUTYA The HIT-MAN , Sautya the guy next door , Sautya what-you-said-was-funny, Sautya shut-the-hell-up!

One thing is for sure, it sounds personal and niceBut only when the people who founded it use it ( ONLY FRIENDS :) )
from others..... it just sounds soooo bland !!
